WWE Superstars are world-famous athletes who regularly entertain their fans. You travel around the globe and light matches inside the square circle to pay the bills. They are viewed as heroes and role models by many fans, but at the end of the day they are normal people, just like the rest of us.

They too had normal jobs like everyone else before they were successful in the WWE. Some still own businesses on the side while continuing to perform in the ring. However, it is hard to imagine that they would quit their wrestling careers to get back to their old jobs. Here’s what these superstars did for their exit before they became famous in Vince McMahon’s billion dollar company.

Becky Lynch is currently one of the biggest and most popular female wrestlers in the WWE. After taking over a year on hiatus, she made her long-awaited return at SummerSlam and immediately won the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Before The Man became famous, she worked as a flight attendant for Aer Lingus, an airline based in her native Ireland. Lynch’s path to the top has been fraught with obstacles, but she managed to overcome each one to get to where she is now.

Mustafa Ali is arguably one of the most underrated wrestlers in the WWE right now. It is criminal that he never held a single title in the company. Born in Bolingbrook, Illinois, the RAW superstar spent four years as a police officer in Homewood, Illinois.

He later decided to follow his passion for wrestling and now he participates in the largest sports entertainment company in the world. He was part of WWE 205 Live for some time before making the main list.

The Celtic Warrior Sheamus has had a very successful career in the WWE. He has held the United States, Tag Team, and WWE Championship. He has also won the Royal Rumble Match, Money-in-the-Bank Contract, and King of the Ring tournament.

Before joining WWE, Sheamus worked as an IT technician for various companies in Dublin, Ireland from 1999 to 2007. He was also a bodyguard for Larry Mullen and Bono from U2. After meeting Bret “The Hitman” Hart in a bar, he made his way to WWE.

7th Wade Barrett – Human Resources Consultant

Wade Barrett is best known for leading The Nexus, a villainous faction founded in 2010. The group consisted of former WWE wrestlers Daniel Bryan, Bray Wyatt, Heath Slater and Darren Young, among others. Barrett is a former Intercontinental Champion.

He could have been a bigger star in WWE had it not been for his feud with John Cena. Before joining WWE, he worked in a science laboratory and as a recruiter in England. He currently works as a commentator for NXT.

AJ Styles has participated in countless wrestling promotions around the world. He was a big star in NJPW, TNA, and WWE. He was part of the popular Bullet Club faction and has wrestled with many big names including Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker and John Cena.

He is a former two-time WWE Champion and holds the Intercontinental and United States titles. Before he became a wrestler, The Phenomenal One provided water for a living. Now he’s a veteran wrestling and a surefire WWE Hall of Famer.

5 Alexa Bliss – bodybuilder

Alexa Bliss is one of the top women in the business. She is the first person to host the SmackDown and Raw Women’s Championship on two separate occasions. Last year, during her alliance with “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, she underwent a gimmick change by adopting a supernatural character.

She is currently on hiatus, and her last match was at Extreme Rules, where she lost to Charlotte Flair in a Raw Women’s Championship match. Prior to WWE, the women’s grand slam champion, Little Miss, was a high school cheerleader and a bodybuilder. She even took part in the Arnold Classic. Little Miss Bliss does great things.

John Cena is one of the most famous stars to ever emerge from the WWE. He led the company as a franchise player after switching to family-oriented programs. Cena is also considered by many fans and experts to be one of the greatest of all time.

Before becoming a WWE Superstar, the 16-time world champion was a limo driver and bodybuilder. He is also a musician and a great Hollywood celebrity. He recently clashed with Roman Reigns at SummerSlam for the Universal Championship, but his attempt to claim the title was unsuccessful.

3 Liv Morgan – Hooters Girl

Liv Morgan has the potential to become a huge star in the WWE. She is still very young, but she still has what it takes to be the best. Next week, she’ll face the biggest match of her career on Monday Night Raw when she clashes with ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship.

Before becoming a WWE Superstar, Liv Morgan was a former cheerleader. She also worked and modeled for the popular restaurant chain Hooters. In February 2021, it was reported that she had started a real estate business with former WWE star Bo Dallas. She also has a farm that houses livestock such as cows and chickens.

Roman Reigns is currently the biggest star in the entire wrestling industry. He’s held the Universal Championship for over two 450 days and it doesn’t look like he’s going to lose it anytime soon. The Tribal Chief comes from a rich wrestling background.

His father and uncle were known as The Wild Samoans, and his cousin The Rock is currently the greatest movie star in the world. However, Reigns didn’t get into wrestling straight away after college. He used to build office furniture for his sister’s shop. He was also an American football player, but he didn’t have the same level of success in the sport as he did in the WWE.

1 Brock Lesnar – Construction Worker

“The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar is one of the most dominant athletes in martial arts history. He is a former NCAA Division I Heavyweight Champion, UFC Heavyweight Champion, IWGP Heavyweight, and WWE Universal Champion. No other athlete can claim to have achieved the same thing.

Lesnar grew up on a farm and stated in his biography that he worked as a construction worker. He became an amateur wrestler and eventually a WWE superstar. He left the company in 2004 to pursue a career in the NFL. When unsuccessful, he switched to UFC and New Japan Pro Wrestling before returning to WWE in 2012.
