Trilogy Management Services recently announced the groundbreaking of its construction project to build a new senior housing community in Owensboro.
The community will be at 3050 Calumet Trace.
The project will include 51 dormitories for independent living, 44 dormitories for assisted living and 20 dormitories with a reminder function in a mix of studio, one and two-room apartments with different amenities, including a full-service bistro, several dining areas complete with an in-house cook, an activity room that can host everything from art projects to game nights, a beauty and hair salon, library, theater room, several winter gardens and a fitness center.
“At Trilogy, we take great pride in providing resident-centric, coordinated care,” said Leigh Ann Barney, President and CEO of Trilogy Management Services. “That means our campuses have cutting-edge equipment and technology designed to meet a wide variety of needs.”
Trilogy has partnered with DMK Development Group to develop the community, a leading national senior housing and health care construction company, as well as general construction company.
The complex will also include an outdoor courtyard and garden area.
The project will represent a total investment of $ 23 million and will create over 200 construction jobs and 60-70 permanent jobs once the community is open.
“We have seen a growing need in Owensboro for a senior community that provides quality, hospitable senior care without sacrificing the luxuries of the home,” said David Kitchen, Founder and CEO of DMK Development Group.

Construction, according to a spokesman for Trilogy, is “right ahead,” with the hope that it will be completed in about a year.
