Sloan opens new showroom, office space in downtown Chicago


FRANKLIN PARK, IL – Sloan, the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems, today held a dedication ceremony to celebrate the opening of its flagship showroom and office space in Chicago’s Fulton Market District.

Located at 333 N. Green Street, the new venue highlights Sloan’s touchless, sustainable and aesthetic product offerings throughout the restroom. The project represents Sloan’s largest showroom in North America and complements Sloan’s existing mobile showroom, as well as its Charles S. Allen Design Center in Andover, Mass. and the Stone and Steel showroom in Mesa, Ariz.

Located in building 10th On the 1st floor, Sloan’s new space represents a return to the company’s origins, as Sloan was originally founded on nearby Jackson Boulevard before moving to its current headquarters in Franklin Park in 1975. The new building features office space and a showroom, while Sloan’s manufacturing and corporate headquarters remain in Franklin Park.

The dedication ceremony for the new premises was attended by Graham Allen and Kirk Allen, Co-Presidents and CEOs of Sloan and fourth-generation descendants of company founder William Elvis Sloan.

“Sloan has been synonymous with Chicago since the company was founded in 1906,” said Kirk Allen. “Today’s dedication is historic and exciting as we expand our presence in the Chicago area with our new showroom and office space in the Fulton Market District while returning to our roots of where the company was founded.”

“The opening of the new Chicago office is an important part of Sloan’s continued effort to retain and attract new talent with state-of-the-art facilities, multiple locations and flexible working policies,” said Kim Darke-Miller, Sloan’s senior manager of Strategic Accounts. “With a state-of-the-art collaboration center, product showroom and offices, the Fulton Market District Sloan location allows for a fantastic building and workspace for new and existing employees.”

The showroom features a wide range of Sloan products and innovations, including sensor-activated faucets, soap dispensers, hand dryers and flush meters, as well as a number of special finishes. The new venue allows Sloan to increase its collaboration with architects, designers and engineers, as well as general contractors, plumbing contractors and the wholesaler community.

Developed by Sterling Bay and designed by Gensler, the building is LEED Silver and WELL Health and Safety certified. Tenant amenities include a skydeck with city views, tenant lounge, bar and grab-and-go food service, games area, full-service fitness center, secure bike storage and more to recreate workspaces define.
