We are looking for a talented Senior Architect for our studio. The candidate will work directly with partners and the project manager and will focus on the construction management of our award-winning DDC project in NYC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works closely with the project manager to ensure the project team is on schedule and adhering to the original design intent.
  • Communicates regularly with consultants and team members to ensure documents are coordinated; identifies problems affecting the design and works closely with the project manager to propose solutions.
  • Interface to customers, ASA team members, ASA consultants and CM employees
  • Checking the submitted workshop drawings and answering information requests (RFI)
  • Participation in solving construction problems
  • Create and issue construction bulletins with Revit
  • Check documents for code compliance
  • Participation in on-site project meetings
  • Assistance with review requests for change / field orders
  • Perform punch lists and closing assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture
  • At least 7 years of professional experience
  • Architectural license in New York State
  • Practical knowledge and fluency with Revit are required
  • Experience with US authorities desirable
  • You must have solid conceptual and design process skills as well as good problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in construction management
  • Strong technical experience with building systems including MEP coordination
  • Effective writing and oral skills – hand sketching is an asset
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, laws, rules, and standards that govern design and construction
  • Ability to work in multi-tasks and work on time-controlled schedules.
  • Proven ability to effectively create presentations and communicate concepts to clients and team members with strong representation skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and precision and with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and complete tasks as previously defined.
