Milwaukee-based architecture and design firm Rinka has opened an office in Florida – its first office outside of Milwaukee.
The Fort Lauderdale office will better serve Rinka’s Florida-based clients, the company said in a statement Tuesday.
Elliot Young, senior vice president and shareholder of Rinka, will lead the office.
“We’re pleased that our work has been so well received both inside and outside the Midwest,” said partner Matt Rinka.
“We continue to grow our business with clients who are different and visionary, and this move is part of our firm’s evolution into a more national company,” Rinka said in a statement.
Rinka has worked on projects in Florida for eight years, including the recently completed F3 Marina Fort Lauderdale, a dry-stack boat dock.
Rinka was founded in 2006 and employs around 50 design professionals.
Milwaukee projects include the Milwaukee Bucks Deer District, The Couture residential high-rise and the River 1 mixed-use development.
