Earlier this month, a woman was arrested at a construction site on Sixth Avenue Southeast on suspicion of theft, according to Lacey police.

And you could say she was dressed for success.

Police were dispatched to the construction zone over the weekend of August 13 after video cameras operated by the construction company spotted the woman allegedly stealing from the site.

When police arrived, they found the woman wearing a City of Lacey helmet, vest and employee jacket. Lacey police didn’t recognize the woman as a city employee, so they asked her where she got it.

The woman admitted stealing the jacket from an employee, police say.

She was later taken to jail for theft and trespassing on the site, according to police.

The only major development on Sixth Avenue Southeast, between College Street and Sleater-Kinney Road, is a new 151-unit apartment building, according to previous reports from The Olympian.
