How long have you owned your business? We incorporated in 2012, 10 years.

What inspired you to start this company?? I have always been involved in construction and real estate with my family and have worked for other local general contractors. This inspired me to start my company.

Which makes Midland a great place to own a business? First off, we have some pretty good talent in Midland. It ensures a steady stream of work for our key employers. We’re in a pretty good location in the middle of the state.

How is your company active in the local community?? We supplied and set up the scaffolding for the downtown arts scene, this is the second year we’ve done this. We have a Community Impact Committee that meets monthly and looks for ways to donate money and our time and talents to various organizations. These include Habitat for Humanity and United Way. I served on the City of Midland Planning Commission for 13 years. He also served on the Zoning Appeals Committee. We are a member of the Greater Michigan Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors.

What are some of your interests and hobbies? We are very involved in the community. Spend time downtown and attend events. We travel between Midland and our place in Florida. We go to boat shows, car shows and like to hang out on the beach.

What makes you successful or helps you to be successful in Midland? The local foundations to support community projects. Local businesses who let us help them grow by allowing them to complete projects for them.

Final thoughts to share with the community? As a commercial general contractor, our headquarters could be anywhere, but we choose Midland. It’s a great family community with many resources and talents. What I love is volunteering and how we come together to solve problems and build a better community.
