As the ramifications of the Prologis buyout continue, several Duke Realty veterans are on the road.

Chicago-based CRG hired the former industrial REIT’s three-person acquisition team consisting of Mark Crawford, Joe Hawkins and Isaac Lau, CoStar reported in this week.

Meanwhile, Colliers hired former Duke senior vice president Stephanie Rodriguez as national director, the company said Tuesday.

The departures follow Prologis’ $25.6 billion acquisition of Duke Realty, which sent shockwaves through the industrial real estate market and dispersed much of the company’s workforce. The agreement was announced in June, and the deal closed earlier this week.

Last month the Indianapolis Business Journal reported that the deal meant 300 Duke employees would lose their jobs, of whom about 40 were reported to be moving to Prologis permanently or temporarily.

Duke CEO Jim Connor said informing his employees about the $25.6 billion mega deal was the “worst part”. [expletive] day of my life”, reported the IBJ.

Since then, a number of veteran Duke employees have moved to new companies, often with expanded responsibilities.

The acquisition team’s new home, a subsidiary of construction company Clayco, is currently expanding its portfolio.

So far, CRG has largely focused on developing from the ground up, but CRG President Shawn Clark told CoStar that the company will invest about $2 billion in warehouse acquisitions over the next few years, with the former Duke team leading the way will take the lead.

Crawford was with Duke for 16 years, Hawkins for 11 years and Lau for a year.

In the meantime, Florida-based Rodriguez will oversee industrial services across the country for Colliers. She spent 15 years at Duke and previously held positions at Trammell Crow Co. and CBRE, so a press release.
