The prime contractor for the development of the all-electric Moorgate Overstation office building in London has been appointed. Mace Group Ltd (Mace), a global consultancy and construction company headquartered in London, will oversee the Class A office conversion project.
The centerpiece of the new Elizabeth Line complex will be the Moorgate overstation development, which is being built for Aviva Investors and Allianz Real Estate. It will be located above the Hammersmith & City line.
The 10-story building will include retail space, a mezzanine business lounge and eight levels of prime office space. There will also be outdoor spaces on the lower levels and a roof terrace. The Moorgate entrance to the new Liverpool Street station will include 101 Moorgate and a new covered walkway will be built to allow access for the general public between Moorgate and Moorfields.
The Crossrail engineering team was closely involved in the design of the building.

Moorgate’s upper station office is fully electric
101 Moorgate hopes to receive an ‘Outstanding’ BREEAM rating upon completion. Using solar panels and air source heat pumps, the Moorgate Overstation project will be fully electric. Off-site alternatives, such as B. the production of prefabricated concrete panels with double-glazed windows made of stamped aluminum are used.

Construction will start in October 2022 and is expected to be completed in September 2024.
