Cocaine, pills, cash, father and son snatched up Wawa in New Jersey


At around 9:30 p.m. yesterday evening, a New Jersey police unit in Brick Township observed a vehicle not staying in its lane.

The police officers discovered a significant find of drugs, utensils and cash.

The following items were revealed:

  • Amphetamine pills
  • Crack cocaine
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • Large (unknown) amount of cash

Brick Township police watched father and son duo Frank J. Russo Jr., 67, from Brick Township and Matthew J. Russo, 38, also from Brick Township, drive into a wawa store 383 Drum Point Roadwhich caused the two people to go into the store.

Brick Township Police determined that Frank Russo was the driver and they charged him with:

  • Distribution of crack cocaine,
  • Possession of crack cocaine
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Certain sub-loads from motor vehicles

Matthew Russo was charged:

  • Possession of amphetamine pills
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

A K-9 officer from the Brick Police Department helped stop the vehicle and locate cash, drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Police arrest warrants have been served on both The Russos and they are currently in the Ocean County Jail.
