Austin Wayne Self quotes before the race:
At the sports car course in Mid-Ohio: “I’m delighted to be back at the wheel of the #20 AM Technical Solutions | to sit GO TEXAN Chevrolet Silverado RST this weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The last month has been very busy for me and while I hated not being able to race, I am grateful for the priceless time I have spent with my wife and daughter.
“However, my focus is on getting back behind the wheel this weekend and Max’s fantastic finish from Nashville Superspeedway in our #22 AM Technical Solutions | to repeat GO TEXAN Chevrolet Silverado RST.”
In the 2022 season: “I think the AM Racing team showed incredible strength at times during the 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. We started the year with some solid results but have come through a difficult period.
“However, I think in the last two races we have shown that AM Racing has competitive equipment and has what it takes to be consistently in the top 5 and top 10. We just need the breaks to fall our way.
“However, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is another chance for our team to prove what we have to work with and I have no intention of letting them down.”
