A case was registered against the construction company SARALA after the collapse of a tunnel under construction in the Ramban of Jammu and Kashmir on May 19.
A small portion of the front of the tunnel at Khoni Nallah collapsed during an inspection on Thursday, officials said. Immediately, a joint rescue operation was initiated by the police and army.
The bodies of seven workers were recovered Saturday, bringing the death toll to 10.
The rescue operation was halted after a fresh landslide forced authorities to halt the process last night. The terrain remains a major challenge in rescue operations.
The rescue operation has now ended with the recovery of all 10 bodies. .
Those trapped in the tunnel were identified as Jadav Roy, Gautam Roy, Dipak Roy and Parimal Roy, all from West Bengal, and Shiva Chouhan from Assam, Nepalese nationals Navaraj Chaudhary and Kushi Ram Chaudhary and Mohammad Muzaffar Mohammad Ishirat, both residents of Marog district Ramban. J&K
